There will be much snarling and gnashing of teeth all over fandom I think. And of course with a cliffhanger like that, he had to choose to skip publishing an chapter next week. *sighs*

Seriously, second in coolness only to Naruto whom one can't help but love.

And as my roommate pointed out to me a few minutes ago, defying all logic, Kakashi/Iruka is the second biggest slash pairing in the fandom. So they'll have the slashers doubly upset. One may have to hide from the fangirls for a while if both one of their favourite characters and favourite pairings are destroyed all at the same time.

Last week and this week have been very traumatic for Kakashi fans. But I refuse to admit he's actually going to be gone until we see it for sure. Kishimoto is too fond of the suspense-filled cliffhanger!

Oh, thank the gods. If he was getting his ass handed to him by Sasuke I would feel so conflicted. I mean sure, I think Sasuke would win, but killing Kakashi would seriously fuck up Sasuke more than he already is.

He CAN'T kill Kakashi, he knows exactly what that would do to his fanbase.

I hope.

And Kakashi's even closer to our hearts (and Naruto's, probably) than Jiraiya.

It does get a bit draggy though, I have to admit. But all the Itachi and Akatsuki? Awesome.

It is like I leave the series by the road side for a few months (*koffs*years*koffs*) and things -happen-. I had to dive back into the series for the Itachi and Sasuke face off a few months back, and I pretty went through the day on air, It is good to feel vindicated.

I try to stay out of the Naruto fandom because most of the fandom seem to hate Sasuke with a passion, and I'm like 'But I LOVE Sasuke!'. Hell, I love him al the more now. (Q - Is he still set on destroying Konoha, because seriously, awesome.).

I love Sasuke, I just think Naruto needs to beat some sense into him. ;)

He still wants to destroy Konoha, but Akatsuki sent him on a different mission first.

See that's the thing, I think Naruto and Sasuke need to beat the shit out of each other, but I honestly think it is too late for Sasuke to return to Konoha. I just - well, it is just that Sasuke is so much more than Konoha now, hell, he is so much more than Team 7 now (all 3 of them are). I think he does care for Konoha (well, more like he cares for Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi), but returning to a Village that condemned his family to death, hell pretty much signed his own death warrant if Itach hadn't stepped in is something he cannot do.

As it is I want Sasuke and Naruto to beat each other up, but I think Naruto need to realise that Sasuke can't return to Konoha, hell he doesn't want to return to a Village that killed his family. That people grow up and want different things. So, I want them to fight because it is Naruto and Sasuke, and then proceed to destroy Akatsuki, and then for Sasuke to go off and start up his own Village (or you know stabilise Sound). I mean, it isn't as if Sasuke doesn't already have his own followers. Being a family, or friends doesn't mean the 2 have to live in the same village.

Hmm, I guess I am still emotionally invested in this series. Well, more like invested in Sasuke.

I really don't think Kishimoto's actually going to do it, though. I mean, Asuma got an entire fucking arc pretty much to himself before his death, and he wasn't even a main character. Kakashi's one of the most popular characters in the whole series, and on top of that he still has all these unresolved things; it's way too abrupt for him to die here.

OR AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT I KEEP TELLING MYSELF.
